31 Days to Sell Your Home: Day 21 – Curb Appeal (Yes, AGAIN)
🏡 Don’t Stop at the Big Stuff
Curb appeal doesn’t end with flowers and fresh mulch. Buyers are taking in everything — and small flaws at the entrance can give off big red-flag energy.
Double-Check These Details:
- Porch lights (are they rusty? working?)
- Mailbox (upright and clean?)
- Doorbell (functional — and not cracked)
- House numbers (visible and not peeling)
- Welcome mat (cute, not crusty)
These things seem minor — until a buyer spots three of them in a row. That’s when doubt creeps in.
Quick Fixes That Impress:
- Replace lightbulbs and clean the fixtures
- Install fresh, modern house numbers
- Swap in a new doormat
- Touch up paint around trim, doorframe, or mailbox post
👉 One Action to Take Today:
Stand at your front door and look around like a buyer would. Do the little things say “well cared for”? If not, change that.

The mulch looks great. But your porch light looks like it survived Y2K.
